The Global Energy Access Network (GLEAN) will host Dr. Shu Tao from Peking University, Beijing, China to discuss his work on collecting data related to quantifying energy use, energy transitions, and health in China. By combining data from residential energy surveys, a seasonal model, and field EFs measurements, they evaluated the impacts of residential energy transition in rural China on pollutant emissions and public health. They found the trends in energy transition were driven by coal production, grain production, and per capita income.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 and the presentation will be from 11:45 to 1:00.
