Our guest for the second Power Lunch of the fall semester will be Benjamin Rich, Senior Vice President for Power and Gas Origination at EDF Trading North America. Mr. Rich will discuss his firm's work in international wholesale energy markets, followed by discussion. Lunch will be provided; registration is required.
BIO: Benjamin Rich is responsible for origination efforts across multiple commodities, regions, and business lines in addition to pursuing business development opportunities for the company. He joined EDF in 2009 as an Associate after completing his MBA at the Fuqua School of Business with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship. Prior to EDF, Ben worked in the energy finance group of HSH Nordbank and held positions within alternative energy start-up endeavors. He started his career within the biomass energy group of the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center, where he authored the North Carolina Biomass Roadmap. Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Duke University with a concentration in evolutionary biology.
