The Mount Holly Microgrid Innovation Lab was established by Duke Energy to help learn how to deploy new technologies for reliability and efficiency as microgrids become more common. The site includes commercial scale systems, residential scale systems and multiple IT systems for integration. The Energy Access Project has arranged a tour of the facility and would like to invite interested students to explore the cutting edge of microgrid technology.
