Dan Costa, Sc.D, recently retired from the EPA, will discuss how policy—with its many imperfect drivers—is rooted in real science and how this has improved environmental public health. Costa served as the National Program Director for the Air Climate & Energy Research Program in the Office of Research and Development.

Tickets are $5, all sales go towards supporting the program.

This event is part of the Periodic Tables, a series of informal science gathering during which invited speakers share interesting, relevant science to the general public in an engaging and interactive way. Organized by the Duke University Initiative for Science & Society.
