Looking to connect your research with K-12 students, educators, and the general public but don't know where to start? Do you want to learn how to write a lesson plan or classroom activity that fits into state and national curriculum standards? Want to improve an existing outreach activity?

Attend (register here) an informal seminar, panel discussion, and networking opportunity on "Demystifying STEM Outreach".This 2-hour event will have FREE DINNER catered by Guasaca and will feature:

  • "Basics of Lesson Planning" - Presented by Duke Master of Arts in Teaching students. Learn how to design a STEM outreach activity that meets K-12 standards.
  • Panel Discussion - get answers to your questions on STEM outreach from experienced graduate students and local STEM educators.
  • Networking Opportunity - check out lesson plans and outreach activities that have been used across the state, and talk about them with their creators!
