The 2017 Appalachian Energy Summit is a riveting three-day conference encompassing discussion topics centered on improving current energy policies and practices in the nation. Students interested in Renewable & Alternative Energy, Energy Policy, and Environmental Preservation will find an exciting opportunity within the Summit to network with not only other students but also key figures within the sustainability field.

Student participants include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree seeking students. Those attending will gain exposure to current best practices and career opportunities surrounding the fields of Renewable Energy and Environmental Policy as well as speaking opportunities.

Appalachian State University is proud to host this free event; we will be accepting select applicants and inviting the very best and brightest 100 of the batch to join us in our beautiful mountains July 10th-12th.

The Summit Poster Competition lends not only a competitive element to this engaging event but is also a platform for students to discuss their energy-related research. Chosen poster participants will have the opportunity to present their research to industry expert partners. (Please note that the Summit Poster Competition involves a separate application process from the AES attendant application. Students interested in participating in the poster competition must complete both applications for consideration.)
