The Energy Initiative's second Power Trip of the semester will visit two energy research facilities in Raleigh: Advanced Energy, which is home to a wide variety of energy research activities and features Duke Energy's Envision Center, a showcase for the transformative possibilities of smart grid technology; and N.C. State's PULSTAR nuclear research reactor, which provides hands-on experience and training for students in the university's nuclear engineering program. Lunch and transportation will be provided.
